Miscellaneous:

  • The desired room reservation must be noted on the registration form. Depending on the current occupancy, a choice may not be possible! In this case, we will try to find the best possible solution.
  • The room deposit (€ 100), course fee (€ 370) and a down payment of € 250 (per participant) must be transferred to our account at least one month before the start of the course.
  • The warm rent (including all utilities and additional costs) is due one month in advance. The rooms are only available during participation in the intensive courses and for the entire course month.
  • For reasons of hygiene, there are no bed linen in the rooms (pillows, blankets, covers). These can be booked in advance and rented at a rate of € 30 for the duration of your stay.
  • Please note that a free cancellation is only possible until 4 weeks before the start of the course. Rental extensions and/or departures must be notified at least 4 weeks in advance.

LIVING EXPENSES

To give students an idea of the living expenses in Germany, we have made up an example:Wohnzimmer

Course fees € 370
Study materials ~ € 30
Rent (all incl.) ~ € 350
Health insurance € 30
Food ~ € 300
Transportation  (train, tram, etc.) ~ € 75
Total:
~ € 1,155

This is the minimum amount of money necessary per month. Living costs certainly depend on one's personal lifestyle, but students should have no less than this amount available. Non EU-students with a language-course visa are not allowed to work in Germany!

ARRIVAL IN GERMANY

Students with a room reservation can be met at the train or bus station and taken to their accommodation (during the day). There is a shuttle-service from Frankfurt Airport to Heidelberg:

pfeil rechts FlixBus

pfeil rechts Deutche Bahn

Arrival is on the Sunday before the course starts between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., departure is on the Saturday after the course ends between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. For students arriving outside the fixed arrival times, we are happy to arrange individual pick-up (e.g. taxi) - however, the costs for this (approx. € 25) have to be paid by the students themselves.
You will be given detailed information and a city map.

Students are required to register with the Office of Foreign Affairs within two weeks on arrival. As this agency is in the vicinity, the Pädagogium can take care of the registration.

We are looking forward to having you here!
